Known as the 'Barbed Wire Coupe', this amazing custom '35 Ford has fewer than 200 test miles and over $200,000 in receipts relating to its build. Finished in custom paint with hand-cut graphics, it features a Rootlieb one-piece top with a 3?' chop in the rear and 4' in the front, front fenders extended 3', the top of the grille widened 3', a three-piece custom hood, chromed adjustable shocks and a polished undercarriage. The doors have been smoothed, with remote-controlled electric openers as
well as side and rear electric windows. Underneath, Heidt's tubular stainless front end makes it handle as good as it looks while a polished aluminum driveshaft transmits power from the big block Chevrolet 454 and Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission to the heavy-duty rear end. Inside, Vintage Air conditioning and a custom stereo accent the leather and ultrasuede interior that extends to the 1940 Ford dashboard. No detail was left overlooked. The heavy duty transmission was carefully smoothed and polished while inside, the Lokar electric kick down and shift kits were installed for trouble-free operation. Likewise, the 454 sports 396 performance heads with roller rockers, oversize valves, 9.75:1 compression pistons, a Comp cam and was expertly balanced. Dual-quad Edelbrock carburetors with a custom air cleaner and a fully polished exhaust system complete the package. NHRA inspected, this amazing creation is ready to hit the strip or top-flight custom show alike.
