Details
This Packard is one of 5,148 Packard Eights produced in 1934, known as Model 8, Series II or more commonly known as the 703 Eight sedan. The motor number is also part of the VIN number and shows to be a mid-production car. Several detail changes were added this model year. An oil temperature regulator was added and the gas tank filler was built into the left rear tail light assembly. The new bumpers were slotted, creating a double-bar look. The car was re-engineered for radio, requiring a larger heavy duty generator with a vacuum tube radio being an option. The pivot window treatment of the previous years gave way to an angle vent wing. The car is in excellent condition and has been part of the Big Pop's Garage collection for many years. Finished in red with black trim, this car will make a stately impression wherever you drive or show. The Packard 8 cylinder 120hp engine was considered very powerful in its time. This car has won an AACA event and received its National First Place prize. From the Jimmy Richardson Collection.
