1932 FORD ROADSTER HOT ROD

Details

This Hot Rod was built, owned and driven by famous car builder and driver Ermie Immerso. It was his personal toy until it was sold in 2006 as part of his estate. Immerso was a legend and pioneer in building world class show and Street Rods, as well as a builder and driver of Bonneville National Speed trial racers. The Hot Rod here was Immerso's personal daily driver which he used for pleasure and drove at car shows. Following his tradition of 'Ford all the Way' and using the latest technology,

but staying with the look of a classic '50's Street Rod, this car was built by hand from the ground up by Immerso and his team. It is a '29 Ford roadster fiberglass body, one of this first of the original heavily built and hand sanded fit bodies with a rumble seat, on a '32 Ford frame. The engine is a '40's Ford Flathead, ground smooth, with Navarro heads and 3 Stromberg 97 carburetors with progressive linkage. It has a 3-on-the-tree transmission setup, original Sun tach and Ford steering wheel. The engine was recently dismantled and reassembled and it runs just like Ermie would expect. This car should be on display in the Peterson Museum with Ermie's other masterpieces, but it deserves to continue to be driven on the streets.
