This 1932 Ford Hi-Boy custom roadster was built professionally for Robert Petersen of Petersen Publishing and Hot Rod magazine, who co-founded the Petersen Museum in 1994, where this vehicle was stored for over 10 years. This Hi-Boy is powered by an HO 302ci V8 engine with two 4-barrel carburetors. It also has a C4 automatic transmission and Colorado Custom knock-off alloy wheels. Mr. and Mrs. Petersen's names are painted on the doors and the gauges. The sale includes documentation, magazine articles, storyboard and pictures of Mr. Petersen, two Hot Rod magazine display rugs and three display tin Hot Rod photos, Mr. Petersen's toolbox and a Petersen Museum jacket.
