Details
This custom 1932 Ford Coupe hot rod is a replica of the world-famous Doane Spencer hot rod displayed at the Peterson Museum. It features the original 1932 steel body and firewall, as well as the 1932 Ford frame and crossmember with a bored-out Mercury Flathead engine with SCAT crankshaft, rods and pistons. It is equipped with 12-volt conversion, batwing gauges and Lincoln front brakes. It has spring sets behind the axle and a pinched frame, and the back frame has been stepped up 7 inches. The mostly period-correct parts include the fuel pump, gas pedals, intake carburetors and air cleaner, Offenhauser heads and Halibrand quick-change rear end. The total parts expense exceeded $140,000. Every part is documented in a build book included with the purchase. It has been serviced and fully detailed. From the Bryan Frank Collection.
