Details
I bought this vehicle from a man out of Mammoth, AZ. It was mostly disassembled and in very poor condition, photos are available. I started restoration in the summer of 1999 and finished the restoration in December 2003. Every part was removed, cleaned, painted, rebuilt and reconditioned. The engine has new rings, valves and gaskets. I reconditioned the valve guides and fabricated a new water pump shaft. The transmission has a new rear bearing. The differential is readjusted and has no noise.
The body was completely sand blasted and new wood parts installed throughout. Frame was straightened, sand blasted and painted. I painted the body parts before assembly. Body is tan with gold and woodgrain trim. Fenders are brown. I reupholstered the interior using a Southwest patterned material. Headliner is light beige.
