first all-fiberglass bodied A/Street Roadster in the NHRA that become the AHRA world record holder in 1971 with an awesome 9.2 performance that stood for five years. It was, and is, the only car to ever be featured on the cover of Popular Hot Rodding for two consecutive issues, June and July of 1971. The car was sold in 1974 and repurchased again by the original owner in 1990. At that time, the engine was rebuilt and the body restored to its original pristine condition. The 468cid big block Chevrolet is more than just a blast from the past. It also includes a steel crank, Venolia aluminum rods, Venolia 15.5:1 forged pistons and a Howard's cam. The stock, cast iron open-chambered heads are topped off with a Hilborn intake manifold and fuel injection, while a Vertex Mangneto lights the fire and Hooker headers dispose of the exhaust. Powerglide with a 6,000rpm converter handles the shifting.
