Details
This motor vehicle was purchased in approximately 1945 from a small auto repair shop in Cedar Rapids, IA by Samuel Miller. The vehicle was originally owned by Mose and Lillian. Mose and Lillian originated from Louisiana and lived in the REO traveling from town to town with a carnival often selling an assortment of prizes and kewpie dolls. They regularly stopped in Cedar Rapids and would have the auto repair shop do small mechanical repairs on the REO during his visit. The last time they stopped at the auto repair shop Mose became ill and had to return to Louisiana, leaving the REO in the possession of the auto repair shop. Shortly after Mose returned home he passed away. The REO was sold by the auto repair shop as per instructions of the estate. It was then that Samuel Miller bought the REO, and later gave it to his son. The REO remained in his son's possession until June of 2012.
