La Bestioni is the fourth in a series of giant, bigger-than-life chain-drive race cars that were what you might have seen on the roads of Europe and America at the turn of the century. This is a salute to these giant fire-breathing monsters that haunted the roads and tracks in some of the most famous race and speed events ever recorded. With few surviving examples of these great juggernauts in existence, it became my passion to re-introduce and make available to the auto aficionado the

opportunity to see and experience the thrill and excitement of driving one of these giant two-man, bigger-than-life race cars of yesteryear. To see one on the road is an exciting experience, to drive one is an experience you will never forget. La Bestioni incorporates original design elements along with modern safety features that blend and enhance the overall performance, allowing the driver and co-pilot to safely navigate modern driving conditions. The original design and aluminum body for La Bestioni was constructed in my home shop using the traditional Edwards-type wheel, all body panels were shaped and fitted by hand. The all-alloy body incorporates hundreds of hand bucked 3/16' rivets. All of the mechanical work was performed by Master Mechanic Andres Aranda with assistance by me. The massive power plant is American La France under license by Simplex (in essence a Simplex and a half). At 14 Liters (each piston is the size of a two-pound coffee can) it runs with the reliability of a locomotive. La Bestioni incorporates both magento and coil ignition, steering is assisted by off-road Lee Racing power steering, which the braking system incorporates power disc brakes to the front, with original massive drum mechanical-type with emergency brake working together as one smooth operation.
