Description
Owned by the first two families for 81 years, this 1917 Oldsmobile Model 4S Light Eight touring car was carefully restored in the early 2000s to keep its original V8 drivetrain and components. One of the first, early V8s produced in the United States, the engine is the original 246/58hp L-head engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. Sitting on a 120' wheelbase with the original 12-spoke wheels, this rare, 7-passenger touring vehicle cost $1,185 new. Only a few original Light Eight Oldsmobiles are known to exist. This Olds has recently undergone a full mechanical restoration that includes new valves, guides, head gaskets, valve springs, rebuilt carburetor and fluids.
