Details
The driver and builder of this 1966 Nova drag race car, Joe Lentz, made drag racing history as he raced and won with this very car in local events. He ran in the Super Stock category. It has a 327ci, Crane solid lift roller motor, original 462 double hump Fuelie heads, TCI-built Powerglide with trans brake and line lock. It also has narrowed 12-bolt with spool and 5.88 gears, and Summer Bros axles. The aluminum monocoque wheels are polished. Nova-only special Hamburger oil pan, Stahl step headers with fender well exit and Auto Meter gauges. The motor, transmission and rear have all been refreshed with just six passes on them. It has brand new Odyssey batteries. This is a preserved, old-school drag race car driven by Joe Lentz from the 70s-80s. His excellent racing history is capped off by his gift of building drag race cars and performing as a tech for NHRA. Joe built race cars out of 'Freddie's Speed Shop' in Apple Valley, CA, whom he worked for at the time.
