Description

Summary

This car has a 1929 Ford Roadster body sitting on a modified 1932 Ford frame. It has a supercharged 302ci Chevy engine, a Jerico 5-speed air-shifted transmission and a 9' Ford rear differential.

Details

This car was originally built and campaigned by Steve Davies in 1995. It was then sold to and campaigned by Tony Thacker and Jimmy Shine of So-Cal Speed Shop fame. Jimmy Shine got in the 200 mph club in Bonneville with it in 2006. The current owner purchased the car after that and campaigned it in Maxton, NC; Wilmington, OH; Loring, ME; and Bonneville, where it earned five 200 mph club hats and many class records in all events. This race car has a lot of history in land speed, and with its supercharged 302ci Chevy engine and 5-speed Jerico air-shifted transmission it is up to date and ready to race.
