1965 FORD MUSTANG CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE

Details

This custom build started with a clean 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. It underwent a professional, no-expense-spared restoration with modern technology upgrades throughout and a total build cost of more than $320,000. The body was taken down to bare metal, door handles shaved off and new metal welded in their place. The entire body was treated, prepped, primed and painted top to bottom, inside and out. stripes complement the black metallic exterior paint, completing the 'wolf in sheep's clothing' theme. This understated, refined build is powered by a 347ci V8 stroker Ford performance engine with programmable fuel injection, BBK single-stage intake and BBK 70mm throttle body. This engine is mated to a TREMEC TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission connected to a 9-inch rear end. It also features Wilwood power disc brakes in the front and rear, Mustang II independent front suspension, adjustable coilover suspension all around with Panhard bars installed in the rear, stainless-steel fuel cell hidden beneath the trunk and power steering. The interior features power windows, electric door locks and electric trunk release, black power canvas convertible top, Kenwood 1000-watt touchscreen stereo with navigation and iPod connection, Dakota Digital gauges, custom leather seats, center console and rear storage area. This Mustang rides on 17-inch American Racing Mag wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. Thousands of man-hours with attention to detail were spent creating this true American pony car. Once completed in 2009, it took home an Award of Excellence at the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals Event. This Mustang has been driven less than 2,000 miles since completion and comes with a detailed receipt for the entire build.
