Ford Motor Company and the Darrell Gwynn Foundation are partnering to auction a 2014 Ford Transit Connect Titanium Wagon that has been modified by MobilityWorks to allow access by wheelchair users. The flexible seating and tall interior height of the Transit Connect Wagon make it an ideal vehicle for mobility upfits. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, which provides support for people with paralysis and aid in preventing spinal cord injury. Along with the standard features of the 2014 Ford Transit Connect Titanium, the MobilityWorks conversion package includes a specially designed rear hatch with a power-lift ramp to secure space for a passenger in a powered wheelchair. MobilityWorks is a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM), one of only 12 vehicles upfitters in the country with that unique distinction. MobilityWorks was also was one of the first adaptive vehicle manufacturers to qualify for Ford's FTQP (Ford Truck Quality Program) certification.
